Select Home Warranty has consistently struggled to find a technician in my area willing to work at their offered rates.
Reimbursement Rates
I was told I could hire my own technician and be reimbursed—but after doing so, Select only offered to cover a fraction of the cost, leaving me to either pay the difference or somehow find a technician they couldn’t find themselves.
Frustrating phone system
The IVR collects all my information, only for me to repeat it all again once I’m finally connected to a live agent.
Scripted support
Every call follows the exact same script. The agents are kind, even apologetic—but clearly limited in what they’re allowed or able to do. You get the sense this is a very common conversation (in my opinion).
